Himeko is the third child born from Hydra and Mikoto. She has two older siblings, Sen and Kaiyou - and her younger twin, Nadeshiko. She has no memories of the kingdom of Valla, as she was born in Hoshido shortly after Mikoto had fled from Valla and met King Sumeragi. Himeko and Kaiyou were the only ones taken by the Nohrians, and she can't quite remember anything before then - as Kaiyou contained faded memories of the events. When the two siblings were kidnapped by King Garon, they were renamed Aurora (Kaiyou) and Natalya (Himeko) to avoid them being caught.

Natalya and Kaiyou grew up to be shy and socially awkward due to their seclusion in the Nohrian Fortress. Natalya particularly found a motherly figure in Camilla whenever she came to visit - but found herself closest to her maids and butler, as they were the ones who properly took care of her during times of need.

Despite these little happy memories in Nohr, Natalya was still not allowed to leave the Northern Fortress, along with her older sister. Why they were the only ones of the Nohrian siblings not allowed to leave, she never knew.

Natalya was well known for trying to sneak out of the castle a lot, not because she hated it, but because she just wanted some fresh air, or to look at the nature surrounding them. Gunter and Flora have been in trouble a few times for sneaking her out. But, Silas was banned from seeing Natalya at all because he got caught the most.

When Rinkah and Kaze took the two sisters back to Hoshido, Natalya felt the worst about the entire scenario, reacting harshly to her Hoshidan siblings. They weren't related to the Nohrian siblings at all, it seemed. She found herself awkward around her Hoshidan siblings, especially her supposed twin sister. She was rather impartial to siblings like Ryoma and Sakura, who weren't very pushy around her. However, Hinoka and her mother Mikoto made her a bit uneasy due to how clingy they were towards her. She finds Takumi's hatred towards her to be valid, but this was enough to know she wasn't truly welcomed.

Around the time when they were forced to make their choice, Nohr or Hoshido, the two sisters were convinced that they would choose the same bath. However, Natalya kept it a secret all along that she would choose Nohr, because she felt more comfortable with the people there- She barely knew anyone from Hoshido! To her surprise, Kaiyou chose Hoshido, and thus she was the only one of Mikoto's true children who chose Nohr.

Azura decided to side with Natalya, knowing that she would be all alone with no one to TRULY understand her if she did. However, Natalya refused to let her join, saying that this was all her mistake and that she doesn't deserve anyone to help her. Despite this, Azura brought her all of the motivation she needed to run an army.

personality

Natalya is polite, yet very anti-social and prone to nervousness and emotional responses to very simple things. She's not very keen about Azura or others joining her in her battle to win her families over, only because she does not wish to burden them. This, in return, makes it easy for her to push people away, despite the aching in her heart.

She is sometimes oblivious to the ways of the world. This is especially evident when people make innuendos, and the ways of war. When she was chosen by the Yato, she immediately tried to pray to the gods to take the responsibility away from her, hoping she wouldn't have to deal with it. However, using a dragonstone scares her even more, she's afraid that even with it, she might hurt someone.

Natalya, despite how often she pushes people away (especially her Hoshidan siblings), however it is very to earn her trust due to how often she has been manipulated by her adoptive father.

While most of the time, appearing shy and standoffish, Natalya is very emotional. She cries easily in certain scenarios, prone to jealousy when she sees her friends interacting with others, becomes angry when someone hurts her loved ones, or if she discovers her feelings are being manipulated.

Natalya is a short 19 year old woman. She and her twin sister Nadeshiko look almost alike, besides a few differences here and there. Natalya's hair is long, brown and wavy, falling just above her hips. She has bangs, her fringe ending just below her chin. Part of her hair is tied back by two braids, held by a pink rose pin.

Natalya has sharper eyes than her sister's, her eyelashes slightly longer and fuller, making her appear more mature than her younger twin. A difference that most can point out between the two, is their eyes. While their eyes are both pink, Natalya's seem to be more of a salmon color, while Nadeshiko's are brighter and warmer. Her ears are pointed, which Natalya finds embarrassing.

While she is mostly a Nohr Noble for her story, she does change to become a strategist when the war is over. Her entire garb is a soft pink color. Outside of battle, Natalya tends to wear simple, casual silk or velvet dresses, varying in color.

I headcanon her voice as Agnès Oblige from Bravely Default (Both JP/ENG), and of course the beautiful singing voice of Ceui.Natalya is the only one of the two sisters who can remember Azura from before, she can recall seeing her shortly before she was captured by Shura.In the sisters' route, Conquest/Birthright taking place at the same time, the neutral units each get split off equally among them. Natalya's side gets Azura, Shura, Silas, and Jakob, while Kaiyou gets Kaze, Felicia, and Mozu.When she did escape the castle, she loved visiting the courtyard gardens, since it was the only ounce of life in Nohr.Natalya has decided that she wants nothing more than for someone to steal her away from Nohr and live a quiet life somewhere there are lots of flowers.Iago makes her extremely uncomfortable, knowing that he never has anything good planned for her. She has a strong distaste for Hans, which all began once he knocked Gunter off the bridge at the Bottomless Canyon.She has a weak spot for sweets since most food she ate was just slop. She loves chocolates especially.Natalya is a vegetarian. Yet she fails to obtain the proper nutrients she needs to be healthy since Nohr is dirt poor and they can't afford anything but meat from hunting.Also has a very weak immune system, gets sick very easily (since she lived in a tower for most of her life, and never grew tolerance to certain diseases).When she had no ways to escape the castle, she'd often sing and dance alone in her room. When Elise visited, she performed to her violin playing.She picked up singing when Camilla would sometimes sing her to sleep.She used to have a crush on Silas when she was little.Her favorite animals are birds.
